    Similar to A. sakawanum, this clump former from Japan's Shikoku Island sports evergreen, glossy, rounded leaves to 4" long. The most prominent foliage pattern is large silver to gray blotches, usually in the central portion of the leaf. The flowers are quite stunning... white edged with a dark purple center, sort of a shorter tailed A. minamitanianum.
