(syn: A. cardiophyllum) I fell in love when I first saw this vigorously growing Chinese ginger. Since it comes from the warmer regions of Sichuan and Yunnan, China, we are cautious with hardiness estimates. What we can tell you, is that it makes a superb container plant. The incredibly fuzzy stems end in large, equally fuzzy, heart-shaped leaves of medium green, over-sprayed with a fog pattern of silver grey. In early spring, the peachy-colored flowers with long tails are produced from the leaf axils... quite unique and easy to grow!
