This bizarre form of the otherwise clumping US native Asarum arifolium was found near the Savannah River on the SC/GA line. Each mottled heart shaped leaf occurs every inch or two along the underground rhizome. This rare but easy to grow form is great to make an evergreen woodland groundcover for dry as well as slightly moist shade. In May, enjoy the bottle shaped flowers at ant eye level..
