This unusual but easy to grow Chinese species of cobra was quite abundant in several areas that we visited during our 1996 expedition to Yunnan, China. The long narrow three-lobed leaves make A. yunnanense quite distinctive from other cobra lilies. The vivid green and white striped pitcher along with a green snake-like spadix peeking out from the opening, tops the leaf stalks in late spring.
