This robust and easy-to-grow cobra lily bears two hand-shaped leaves (7-13 leaflets each), held on each side of the 3' tall snake skin stalk. A. serratum emerges in mid-spring with the leaves folded below the flower. As the flower opens, you will notice a green and white striped pitcher (occasionally with purple markings). The top of the pitcher (spathe) ends in a whip-like tongue that drapes over the pitcher. This is a dramatic woodland specimen for a well-drained site in the woodland garden.
