Similar to A. ringens with two giant glossy leaves emerging from a central stalk, with three large leaflets on each. Emerging atop the center stalk in early spring is a 5" tall flower resembling the head of a giant cobra. The outer part of the flower (spathe) is covered in a thick white waxy coating. This is probably the first US offering of this spectacular form, found only on Japan's Ryoku Islands.
