    This very rare species from Shikoku's Mt. Ishizuchi is composed of a 3' tall stalk with a large 9-11 leaflet leaf. The long spathe, which sits atop the black patterned stalk and opposite the leaf, is cream-to-tan with purple stripes. A rich, well-drained soil is preferred.
