    This rare Japanese spoecies from moist mountainous woods from Yakushima, Japan and south, grows to 3' tall. Each stem bears two rippled margined horseshoe shaped leaves, each containing approximately 16 leaflets. The green pitcher housing the white spade like spadix (sex organ) is perched on the top of the stem above the leaves.
