This selection of the Himalayan cobra lily was collected on our China trip at 9,000' on a shaded hillside in the Yulong Shan mountain range in Yunnan, China. The 30" stems are topped with a single radial leaf with 12 or more leaflets. When the plant emerges in mid to late June, the green and white striped pitchers emerge alongside the leaves near the top of the 30" stems. The flap on the pitchers forms a bizarre thread-like appendage that hangs down over the pitcher. The width of the leaves and the color of the flower will vary with each seedling.
