This charming rock garden groundcover pussy toes was collected as cuttings from a nice specimen that I found growing near Brandywine in Pendleton Co. West Virginia on a steep shale bank. As you can imagine it detests poor drainage. The 1" tall silver-grey foliage makes a marvelous mat to 10" wide in a season. The clumps are topped with small 3" spikes of grey in late spring.
