    This wonderful native has been a splendid addition in our garden for years. In the garden, the flattened blue-green foliage makes a very structural statement, reaching 6' tall, with only a 2-3' spread. In early fall (late summer in some climates), the plumes emerge. Usually after the first heavy frost, the plumes take on a billowing cloud-like appearance that is absolutely striking! We rank this #1 among seed heads on the ornamental grasses that we have grown!
