(aka: A. y. A1VT-056B) These plants are grown from seed we collected in 2005 in the Lai Chau region of North Vietnam. The resulting seedlings have the heaviest speckling we have ever seen on A. yunnanensis, although it does vary from plant to plant. These fast growers make a 5' tall trunk (taller than the Chinese forms that we had previously grown) of olive-brown highlighted with light tan spots. The trunk is topped with a typical palm-like leaf. When the bulbs mature, you will enjoy the early spring flower, composed of a 3-6" tall spadix, looking like a pink alien head with a white neck and a green speckled hood.
