(aka: Pseudodracontium lacourii) Our 2021 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction is an amazing selection of the tropical Amorphophallus lacourii that we picked up at Thailand's Chatuchak Flower Market in 2005, and named it after...well, never mind. What happens in Bangkok stays in Bangkok. The 20" tall, black mottled stalks are topped with wide green leaves, adorned with the largest and most abundant yellow spots we've seen on any amorphophallus. It's only taken us sixteen years to propagate enough to share, so if you'd like a really cool houseplant, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. When it starts to wilt in late fall, dry it off for the winter months, and start watering again when growth restarts in late spring. The small white cup-like inflorescence emerges alongside the foliage.
