Why don't you let a stunning specimen of Alocasia 'Insinuata' bring the feel of the beach to your garden. Each 14+" wavy leaf is set off by long V-shaped basal lobes; the combined overall effect is dramatic. The petioles of Alocasia 'Insinuata' are very pale greenish with muted darker purplish brown speckling and this pattern extends to the main veins of the leaf undersides. The purplish coloring on the lower blade surface and on petioles increases with plant maturity. This plant is commonly sold as A. sinuata which is an unrelated dwarf species. More than likely this is a selection or hybrid of A. portei.
