Agave x protamericana 'Funky Toes' is one of many wonderful Yucca Do Nursery introductions discovered in the mountains of northern Mexico. Agave 'Funky Toes' is a natural hybrid of Agave americana x Agave asperrima (scabra) that forms a 4' tall x 5' wide specimen with very broad and twisty, lightly scabrous, blue-green leaves with huge teeth and widely-spaced cavities between each one. Unlike people, big tooth cavities are desirable in agaves. The fast-offsetting Agave 'Funky Toes' has thrived for us since 2004, forming a distinctive, attention-drawing specimen.
