    Looks like an iris, grows like an iris...but it's in the philodendron family...at least until recently when the evil empire of taxonomy relegated it to live out the rest of its natural life in its own family, with no close relatives. This unusual herb produces iris-textured deer resistant foliage in moist shade, even boggy conditions...insignificant flowers.
