Anther, Stigma, butterfly, oh my! Plants have very special relationship with their pollinators: the shape of the flower, the texture of the pollen, and the time of the blossom all relate to the kind of pollinator preferred by the plant. Here at PDN we’ve learned to identify different methods of pollination to aide in our efforts to cross and create seed in the Juniper Level Botanic Garden. Join us in exploring a different kind of “the birds and the bees” narrative: the fantastic relationships between plants and their pollinators.
