We are pleased to offer, yet another seed strain of the North American (Southwest US) native, Washingtonia filifera, that's has some good cold tolerance in its' background. These are from a population in Denton, Texas, that appears to be about 30 years old, most likely planted by the late nurseryman, Bob Huggins. In Texas, they have survived 8 degrees F. We recommend getting them to a large size before trying them outdoors in colder zones (7b/8a). If they survive, they have the potential of reaching 60' in height. Our availability, for those who like to experiment is quite limited.
