This is another Mexican collection of the famed Mexican shell flower that has performed fabulously here in NC, where we kill the commonly offered Peruvian stock of the same species. The flower colors can range from yellow to orange to red, each with the stunning yellow and brown patterns expected in this species. Our potted bulbs are seed grown from a Yucca-Do collection, growing near palm trees and Salvia mexicana in a moist red clay meadow in the El Cielo biosphere region at 3,700' elevation.
