    These wonderful primrose hybrids are a can't miss for summer color. In early spring (March in NC), the small rosettes of green foliage give rise to 6-10" stalks of quarter size flowers of vivid colors...some folks call 'em gaudy, but what tastes great to you may be less filling to someone else! Each plant is different, but colors could range from purple to yellow, to white, and even red. I like to use these either as a woodland mass or as a special accent spot.
