    Looking little like a fern and more like a wavy green tongue after too much guacamole, this glossy green-leaved fern is sure to attract plenty of attention in the garden. Each 1" + wide ribbon-like green leaf can reach over 1' in length, producing a clump that resembles a miniature bird's nest fern. While phyllitis is quite easy to grow in containers, it needs just the right site to thrive in the garden. These "perfect sites" usually include a near neutral to alkaline gravelly soil, good drainage, and plenty of moisture.
