(aka: Paeonia daurica ssp. mlokosewitschii) Paeonia mlokosewitschii, aka "Molly the Witch" peony is a highly collectible peony that hails from open woodlands in the Caucuses. Our offering are flowering-sized divisions from yellow-flowered seedlings shared by Ellen Horning of the former Seneca Hill Nursery. Each of these has flowered and been verified as having yellow flowers. The 18" tall x 3' wide clumps of glaucous green foliage are topped in early April with lovely bright yellow flowers. Just before the plants go dormant in August (NC), the seed pods on old flower stalks open to reveal the lovely black and red seed. Molly grows equally as well in part or full sun.
