This is our first offering of Lycoris x sprengensis 'September Cream Beauty' from the great lycoris breeding work of Japan's Komoriya Nursery. This cross of the Chinese Lycoris sprengeri x chinensis resulted in a spectacular hybrid, whose 22" tall stalks emerge for us, starting in mid-August, topped with a cluster of large flowers that open soft yellow, and quickly begin to age to soft pink. The color combination is absolutely elegant! The foliage emerges for us in mid to late February and goes dormant by June. We doubt this has ever been offered for sale in the US, and it will take us a while to rebuild stock for another offering.
