This selection of the southeast native A. harperi (AL, GA, MS) was made by plantsman extraordinaire Don Jacobs. The small, rounded glossy green leaves have a mottled silver pattern, but also a dark green heart pattern in the center of each leaf. In late spring, the clumps are adorned with large, barrel-shaped flowers tucked just below the foliage.
