This is the typical version of the species A. italicum. Each dark green arrowhead shaped green leaf with small silver to light green blotches, appears in early fall and remains green all winter. In late spring, 12" white peace lily-like flowers appear, followed by an attractive stalk of red berries. At this point, the plant goes to sleep for the summer, emerging again in late August. Italian arum will naturalize in woodland areas, albeit a slow process... I wouldn't garden without it!
