    This newly discovered species from the Ehime Prefecture of Japan is intermediate in characteristics between A. serratum and A. tosaense. The 4' tall stems are topped with horseshoe-type leaflets. Just above the leaves, on a short stem, sits the 5" tall green pitcher, containing the dark club-like spadix.
