This selection of A. consanguineum from our China expedition was collected in the Yulong Shan mountain range at 10,500' near the bottom of a moist shaded bank along the Yangtzee River. The 2-3' tall stems are topped with a radial leaflet featuring a dozen or so leaflets. The flower which emerges with the foliage in June near the top of the 30" stalk is a green and white striped pitcher, whose "flap" ends as a narrow thread, that becomes limp with age... like other things... very easy to grow. The width of the leaves and the color of each flower will vary with each seedling.
