Zephyranthes 'Scarlet Pimpernel' is a recent creation from Indonesia's Fadjar Marta. After each rain, from midsummer through early fall, the floriferous clumps are topped with 10" floral spikes of scarlet orange flowers, each highlighted by a bright yellow center. Zephyranthes 'Scarlet Pimpernel' is actually named after another plant, the red-orange flowered European annual, Anagallis arvensis.
