From the paradise location of Kamchatka and the neighboring Kurile Islands (which join Siberia to Japan), come this relative to our native false lupine. The upright 3' stems, clothed in peanut like leaves are topped with bright yellow baptisia like flowers in late spring or early summer. T. fabacea is a fabulous accent in the perennial border.
