Sauromatum horsfieldii 'Lancelot' is a very special form of the Asian aroid, discovered by the late, world-renowned aroid researcher Alan Galloway in Loei Province, Thailand, where it grew on limestone rocks near the Laos border. The horse-shoe arranged leaflets look like an arisaema, but the flower, which emerges from ground level, resembles an arum...very odd! Sauromatum horsfieldii 'Lancelot' forms a much larger clump than the more typical forms, quickly reaching 1' tall x 1' wide. We think you'll really enjoy this in the woodland garden.
