Ophiopgon japonicus 'Bluebird' is the ultimate in super dwarf mondo grasses. We first spotted this cutie at the late Harlan Hamernik's Bluebird Nursery and was amazed. Harlan obtained the plant in the late '70s, long before dwarf mondo grasses were popular. These miniature clumps are so tight, they almost resemble golf balls that have rolled throughwet grass. These are ideal for very intricate plantings, as well as being a superb bonsai groundcover.
