Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Ogon'

We have had so many requests that we are making available a limited time offering of the rare golden dawn redwood. Visitors who have seen our allee of these amazing trees are chomping at the bit to have one. Our original plant was given to us by Japanese nurseryman, Akari Shibimichi, who discovered the original 60' tall tree in Japan. The stunning yellow foliage on this deciduous conifer remains bright during the entire growing season. In the Deep South, especially in dry sites, some afternoon shade would be helpful to prevent tip burn. The growth rate is very fast if adequate moisture is provided...a truly dazzling specimen!
