(aka: Iris pallida 'Variegata') Iris pallida 'Argentea' is a lovely vertically white-striped selection of the popular Balkan native Iris pallida. Iris pallida is native in dry rocky soils, which hints that good drainage is a key in gardens. The clumps, semi-evergreen in milder climates, are topped for us in April with 2' tall stalks of blue-lavender flowers.
