Galanthus elwesii var. monostictus is a Turkish native snowdrop and one of the easiest and most durable ones we grow. For us, Galanthus elwisii var. monostictus forms dense clumps of 1' tall flower stalks, that start for us in early November and continue through December, followed by wide, glaucous foliage. Until the mid-1990s, this was mistakenly cultivated as Galanthus caucasicus. It is also similar, but larger than Galanthus alpinus.
