Dianthus anatolicus 'Lunatic Fringe' is a 2025 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a splendid heat and humidity tolerant seedling selection of a hardy pink, native from Tibet to Turkey. For us, the vigorous, 8" tall, evergreen, 5' wide (in 5 years) patch of silver blue foliage is topped, starting in early April with 10" tall stalks of clove-scented, fringed white flowers with a pink center. The vigor and durability of this selection are truly outstanding. The species is named after the Anatoly region of Turkey, and not the Ukrainian weightlifter of social media pranking fame.
