This selection of our native southeast wild ginger, A. virginicum var. memmingeri, was made in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. It was selected for extremely good silver veining against a very dark green background. The 2" rounded leaves adorn the 10" wide clumps, further adorned in spring by tiny, barrel-shaped flowers just underneath the foliage. A single specimen or a mass planting make a great impact in the woodland garden. To ensure uniformity, these plants were all vegetatively propagated via tissue culture.
