    From the Miyazaki Prefecture in Japan, comes this new species that is related to A. robustum. Each thick green stalk bears one 5-lobed leaf, and is topped with an attractive green striped pitcher in early spring. The hood of the pitcher extends straight out over the club-like spadix (sex organ).
