From our 1997 Korean expedition, comes this spectacular deciduous aralia... similar in form to A. cordata, but shorter in stature. In late spring, the stalk of tropical green foliage emerges and quickly rises to 4' in height. In late summer, the clumps are topped with dense terminal spikes of small white flowers. As the flowers fade, they are replaced by spectacular heads of black fruit. This collection is from 1260' in a moist pocket on the famed Mt. Sorak.
