Baptisia leucophaea 'Butterball' (Butterball Redneck Lupine)
Sauls Rd.

Baptisia leucophaea 'Butterball' (Butterball Redneck Lupine)

SunZone: 5-9, at least 18" tall Origin: USA

NEW! New crop available 8-7-2008 We grow lots of baptisia seed each year and one of our B. leucophaea seedlings stood out from all the rest after years of trials. The early-emerging B. 'Butterball' makes a compact 18" tall x 2' wide clump of glaucous foliage, adorned with obscenely large and floriferous pendulous spikes of creamy yellow flowers, starting in early April (in NC). Baptisia leucophaea cuttings aren't the easiest things to root, so the supply of plants is very limited. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
