Web-Only! (syn: Polygonum polymorphum) We first received this plant from its greatest supporter, Wolfgang Oehme (Oehme and Van Sweeden), who raved about his "new" greatest perennial. P. polymorpha is native to high-elevation gravelly slopes but has grown well for us in our woodland garden. In full sun, expect a 5' tall, vase-shaped clump (not running) of leafy stalks, each ending in a large white plume. For us, P. polymorpha flowers from early summer through midsummer.
