Web-Only! This rarely offered southeastern Chinese species is renowned for its spectacular foliage. The sharply triangular leaves are edged in very dramatic spines (dramatic at least for an epimedium). The glossy evergreen foliage makes this woodland clump former a great year-round feature. In midspring, the clumps are topped with airy flower spikes of tiny flowers...light purple with a yellow center. Our plants are propagated from the splendid US National Arboretum clone.
