Salvia leucantha 'Eder' is an introduction from California's Suncrest Nursery...a chartreuse yellow-edged sport of Salvia leucantha 'Midnight'. Remove any shoots that revert back to green to maintain the variegation. The 3' tall stalks of Salvia leucantha 'Eder' are topped starting in early October with terminal spikes of fuzzy purple flowers...simply scrumptious. Dry soil in the winter is the key to survival in marginal hardiness zones.
