We are pleased to be able to share a few of this rare tree peony selection from Japan. P. 'Shimanishiki' is topped with scrumptious large double red and white flowers in late spring atop a plant that can eventually reach 6' in height. Unlike herbaceous peonies, do NOT prune this one, or you will you will loose flowers, leaves, etc. In the good/bad scheme of things, this would be really bad! Good drainage is a must, and in the hot south, light shade is preferred.
