We are very pleased to offer wild Paeonia lactiflora, the Asian native peony species from which most of the modern hybrids are derived. Paeonia lactiflora can be found naturally from 1,000'-7,000' elevation in China, Korea, Japan, Mongolia, and Russia. For us, Paeonia lactiflora makes a stunning plant in our garden with large numbers of single pink flowers highlighted by a large central ball of yellow stamens, starting in late April (NC). Our offerings are Chinese genetics.
