This is the finest manfreda we have grown...our garden specimens have caused everything from amazement to infatuation! Each deciduous clump makes a flat, ground-hugging rosette of incredibly rippled, succulent, blue-grey leaves. In late spring, the flowering stalk arises from the center of the clump and shoots skyward to 40" tall. As the dark maroon flowers open atop the stem, each of the wonderfully fragrant flowers is highlighted by giant 3" long stamens...STUNNING! From garden-grown seed collected from our plant of Yucca Do collection #42-05.
