This splendid find from our China trip gives new meaning to standard incarvilleas. Completely different from the commonly grown I. delavayi, we found this 3' tall perennial growing on dry rock cliffs. The upright foliage most closely resembles a small pinnate walnut leaf. At the top of the stems throughout the late summer, are attractive 1" long pink penstemon-like flowers in terminal clusters... a great plant to blend into the perennial border!
