I remember seeing this for the first time and thinking...Wow! This stunning new introduction from Rob Mortko is undoubtedly one of the more unusual hostas we have ever grown. Hosta 'Stitch in Time' is the plant we all hoped for with Hosta 'Embroidery'. The unusual sport of Hosta 'Summer Breeze' features broad, golden leaves, complemented by a small, dark green pattern that appears to be stitched into the leaf center. This has proven to be very difficult to propagate, even with tissue culture, so don't expect this to ever become widely available or low-priced. The 2' wide clump is topped with a 2' spike of lavender flowers that attract hummingbirds in midsummer.
