This much sought after 1995 Roy Herold introduction (H. longipes var. hypoglauca x H. kikutii 'Harvest Delight') is one of the best of the "red-petioled" hostas. The bright red pigment drenches the leaf petiole and extends slightly into the foliage. The dark green foliage with a silver-white back makes a symmetrical clump. In early October, the 2' wide clumps put on quite a show as they are topped with an amazing number of 2' tall red-purple spikes, topped with three dozen or more attractive medium lavender flowers...a real winner!
