This obscure little hosta has always been one of my favorites, and I don't understand why it isn't better known. Each 30" wide clump has dark green leaves with a well-defined creamy center. Early in the season, the leaves show a cute little twist and often a light green streak in between the dark green border and the center. In hot weather, the intensity of the center color fades to green (viridescence) and the leaf surface flattens. The clumps are topped with 18" scapes of lavender flowers in midsummer.
