This is a unique subspecies of the Japanese H. kikutii (incorrectly sold as H. kikutii pruinosa). The 18" wide clumps are symmetrically arranged with long narrow lance shaped greyish green leaves, with a heavy white coating on the leaf backs. In summer the clumps are topped with scapes of lavender flowers
